Description

Provenance: The vineyards located partly in the municipality of Controguerra and partly in the municipality of Torano Nuovo a 310 meters above sea level.
Subsoil composition: Medium-textured soil tending towards calcareous clay.

Grapes: Grapes from organic farming, Montepulciano 100%.

Characteristics of the system: The vineyard is trained in GDC, adapted over the years to the new qualitative production needs with 1250 stumps per hectare, year of planting 1978. The exposure is partly to the east and partly to the south.

Harvest and winemaking period: The grapes, are collected, after a scrupulous selection, in the second ten days of October. The grapes are destemmed, pressed very softly, the must obtained is fermented in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks in order to control the fermentation temperature between 18° and 20°C.

Organoleptic characteristics: Color: remembers the cherry, lucid, bright.

Perfume: intense fruity, distinct, characteristic and persistent.

Gusto: Dry, fresco, with good tasting persistence with characteristics of distinction and refinement.

Gastronomy: It goes well with appetizers, cured meats, semi-hard cheeses, fish and white meat dishes. The serving temperature is important and must be 12-15°C in order to enhance the aromas and flavors contained in this bottle.
